Woodhead Software & Electronics and ICS Triplex ISaGRAF are pleased to announce the joint development of an interface driver with applicomIO® communication cards for fieldbus.

The integration of ISaGRAF and applicomIO® offers a very competitive and advantageous solution for the development of embedded software on controllers to control I/Os carried on Profibus-DP, CANopen, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP networks. The technology of the intelligent applicomIO® cards discharges the processor of the controller and allows ISaGRAF to execute the applications. This results in ideal performance when faced with strong real time constraints.

The applicomIO® cards are available in PCI, PC/104 and CompactPCI format. The ISaGRAF driver for applicomIO® accepts the deployment of target applications in Windows 32-bit environment as well as for the real time platforms RTX, VxWorks, QNX and Linux.

The ISaGRAF software tool integrates the I/O definition and the bus diagnostics accessible from the applicomIO® cards. The comprehensive solution in compliance with IEC 61508 is ideal for safety related applications such as Process Shut Down (PSD), Emergency Shut Down (ESD) Systems and Fire and Gas (F&G) applications.

Matrix SafetyNet consists of SIL 2 rated safety logic solvers, I/O modules and a safety logic workbench. The Safety Logic Workbench tightly integrates ISaGRAF 4 and is used to develop, download, simulate, debug, monitor and edit application programs. SIL 2 control applications are developed in the Safety Logic Workbench, using one of 3 SIL approved IEC61131-3 programming languages: Ladder Diagram, Function Block Diagram and Structured Text.
